It is a 3.2-gigapixel camera that will be installed on the LSST telescope, located at the Cerro Pachón summit in Chile. The LSST camera will have a field of view that is 10 square degrees, which is equivalent to 40 full moons. It will be capable of capturing images of the entire visible southern sky in just three nights and will generate approximately 30 terabytes of data each night. The LSST camera is expected to be completed and installed on the telescope by 2024.
